The Baku City Circuit, a street course, was used to introduce the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to the Formula 1 schedule in 2017. This circuit, which is 6 km long, has one of the smallest tracks of any of the others. The Baku City Circuit, which includes 20 bends and is intended to test drivers’ skills, is 7.6 metres wide between the 7th and 8th turn. Three race cars can hardly squeeze there simultaneously. The circuit’s speed trap, which drivers must navigate to get through in this challenging long start/finish straight, is one of its distinctive features. Given that the vehicles must negotiate the city, this is a fascinating race to watch.
